Adhesives - glue

Labels with standard glue. The most common choice of customers when it comes to labels with a given glue are so-called solutions called standard. Labels with standard glue are labels of general purpose used for the simplest applications on smooth and dry surfaces that are not exposed to the effects of unusual environmental conditions. Standard glue is used with paper labels and PP or PE films. In the label industry, it has become customary to refer to standard glue as acrylic glue - water-based (water-soluble). Standard adhesives show good adhesion to all surfaces. The low price results from the fact that these materials are generally available and the most popular on the market. Suppliers provide 4 years of durability (under appropriate conditions). The most popular RP51.

APPLICATION: Good adhesion to all surfaces of films, cardboard, non-polarized surfaces. It behaves well at low temperatures.

POSSIBILITIES: It is not recommended to use it for labeling strongly curved surfaces. It has a certificate for direct contact with dry, wet food without fat.

Labels with strong adhesive. Strong adhesive is used with paper labels and PP or PE films. In the label industry, strong adhesive is referred to as rubber adhesive. Rubber adhesives exhibit very good bonding strength to all surfaces. Rubber adhesives are resistant to water. Labels with strong adhesive are used for sticking particularly difficult surfaces (cold and wet surfaces). Recommended for use in low temperature and refrigeration applications. It has a certificate for indirect contact with food. ISEGA certificate allowing contact with food. Not suitable for labeling PVC. Not recommended for printing on the glue side. Under the influence of higher temperature it is meltable, so be careful with exposing them to the sun.

The raw material supplier guarantees durability for 2 years, from experience and old samples it appears that even after 10-12 years this adhesive maintains its properties.

Frozen products with a surface on which delicate frost may occur. These labels contain a special adhesive. They are used in the food industry for products stored at low temperatures (below 0 degrees Celsius). These labels have a special adhesive with significantly increased adhesion to wet surfaces. They are applied to so-called special materials, flexible packaging used in low temperatures and high humidity. Available constructions are: semi-gloss GLOSS paper, matte paper, TOP thermal paper, PP film and HD PE film (the best). The raw material supplier guarantees 2-year durability under appropriate storage conditions. From experience and old samples, it appears that even after 10-12 years this adhesive retains its properties. Do not store at temperatures below 20 degrees and humidity of 50%. Long-term storage at high temperature and humidity shortens the shelf life. Minimum labeling temperature: -25. Minimum temperature after labeling: -40 (on request from -50).

If we are talking about “deep freeze glue”, it means glue with which labels can be applied at temperatures up to -20C and withstands up to -40C. So the application temperature is crucial here. Ordinary rubber adhesives (RH9X, RH01, FH21, S2045n) should also hold up well at -40C, but they cannot be applied at such low temperatures (0C for RH9X and -5*C for RH01). “For frosted surfaces” adhesives are already a higher shelf, also in terms of price e.g. RH03 and C2075n. Of course, everything depends on how much frost is on the labeled surface. If there is too much of it, then we try to stick the label to the ice rather than the packaging - in such a case even these adhesives will not work.

Removable labels are easily removable, using a special release adhesive. They come in a construction with paper labels and in combination with films. The adhesives are designed to easily remove the label from many surfaces including glass, laminates, and enamel. This material is used wherever the label requires high flexibility and clean removal from the substrate. It can be used for indirect contact with food (it has a certificate allowing contact with food). It is most often used with top materials: semi-gloss GLOSS paper, white or transparent PP film. There are several types of release adhesives to choose from, depending on the intended use and use in a given environment. Standard release adhesive is not recommended for application on paper, PVC, and air-dried paints and varnishes; the release adhesive must always be selected for specific applications. ODLPENE adhesives called EASY REMOVABLE have short life spans and periods of activity (max 1 year warranty, standard release adhesive). Paper labels with release adhesive after the warranty period and after several years lose significantly their release properties and become standard durable. Our printing house most often uses water-based rubber release adhesive for rough and curved surfaces. For labeling textile surfaces, special adhesives that do not leave traces after removal are used. Application: for rough surfaces such as corrugated cardboard, and for curved surfaces such as test tubes. Marking of furniture boards. In food and logistics. Where long-term removability is required without leaving glue traces. For curved surfaces. Surface for labeling: Cardboard, Metal, Paper, Glass, Polyethylene, PET, PP, Polyvinyl chloride, Rubber, HDPE. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight UV or high temperature for a long time. It is not suitable for sticking on PVC surfaces. Minimum labeling temperature: +5 (on request -15).

We offer several solutions for use on curved surfaces. VINYL materials with the appropriate adhesive are a very good solution, their only drawback is unfortunately their price, which is why we also recommend a cheaper solution: Special adhesive for curved surfaces - PURUS RP31 and special adhesive for curved surfaces - RC3P. Under appropriate storage conditions, the raw material supplier guarantees a 2-year durability from the time of production.

Labels with adhesive for very difficult surfaces. In the case of such surfaces, it is recommended to use a special adhesive (usually rubber) often colloquially called ON TIRES. Difficult surfaces can include materials such as: rubber - tires, fabrics - pattern cards, and others. Stickers can be made of paper or film top material.

Our printing house offers raw materials depending on the needs of customers. There is a choice of PP film with adhesive for summer tires with reduced weight (50 grams) for labels on summer tires, standard weight (55 grams) for labels on summer tires and for labels on winter tires where there are more plasticizers - additives it is recommended to increase the amount of glue 60-65 grams. We also recommend that the silicone liner be silicone-coated on both sides so that there is no problem when the side of the label spills glue when squeezed.

PAPER CONSTRUCTION Paper labels for tires have a special construction in order to meet the highest expectations. The increased adhesive strength results from the lamination of the top paper material with an aluminum layer from the underside. This layer creates a natural barrier for the migration of glue into the top layer of label construction. The advantage of this design is that it remembers its shape.

FILM CONSTRUCTION Film labels for tires do not have an additional aluminum layer to create a barrier. The strong adhesive used has the strongest adhesive properties.
