Two-layer Sandwich labels on double silicone. These are labels in the form of rolls. The characteristic feature of these stickers is the use of a special substrate - two layers of silicone. They are most often called: sandwich labels from English Sandwich, two-layer, multilayer, triple from English Triplex. The material can be described in the simplest way as follows: the front top layer is the “proper label”, it carries necessary information such as barcodes, identification numbers, etc. The proper label is placed on the middle carrier layer on a special silicone backing. The middle layer serves as a transport for the proper label. The middle layer contains acrylic adhesive. The traditional ordinary silicone backing called in this case the second silicone layer does not contain adhesive. The proper label and transport layer as a set are reusable. The most popular top material is GLOSS semi-gloss paper good for black and color flexo thermal transfer printing, second in order is Vellum matte paper (thermal transfer printing). Paper labels are made of material from sustainably managed forests with FSC and PEFC certification. Due to their construction, they are not biodegradable.
APPLICATION: Sandwich stickers are used at post offices and by courier and forwarding companies in logistics processes, but they can also have other uses. Labels of this type are also used to mark documents in offices and administration as well as pharmaceutical packaging.
