Rating plates

Nameplates, i.e. metallized aluminum labels. There is a possibility of additional increase in durability and resistance to mechanical factors by making a print protection in the form of a label or laminate. The top layer is made of PET polyester films, metallized aluminum, matte and/or glossy (with increased resistance to high temperatures). The adhesives are designed so that they can be removed from the marked product for a short period of time, corrected, and only after 24 hours the adhesive begins to bind permanently like a so-called droplet, making them difficult-to-remove stickers and difficult-to-tear labels. Typical labels used for permanent marking are made of PET film with an aluminum-colored metallized coating, sometimes mistakenly thought to be pure aluminum. The pure aluminum layer with adhesive is not durable enough to withstand tearing, so it is not used for permanent marking. PET film is more expensive than other PP or PE films, but it is the most resistant to atmospheric conditions.

Although it seems that labels should stick strongly to all surfaces, unfortunately this is not the case in practice. Different adhesives and materials are tested for different surfaces and the raw material must always be selected for a given application. Therefore, it is very important for the customer to specify their expectations regarding the durability of the label’s top material and the adhesion of the adhesive to a given surface. Only the knowledge and experience of the company and salesperson allow for the selection of the best solution for specific expectations.

Is there a construction of the raw material and adhesive that makes it impossible to remove the label? From our experience, there is no such label that cannot be removed in any way, but there are better and worse solutions that meet specific expectations. A lot depends on the surface we stick it on. The strength of the adhesive bond is influenced by many factors. For example, when sticking it on a clean degreased metal surface without dust particles, we achieve the best bond of the same adhesive and it will be difficult to remove the label. However, when sticking the same label on a dirty surface, the bond will be weaker and although it will stick, it will be much easier to remove the label from the surface. The conclusion is simple: if we want to ensure the longest durability, we also need to ensure the cleanliness of the surface.

APPLICATION OF LABELS:

Nameplates are used for marking durable goods, for recording entities with different surfaces and for marking printed circuits. They can be used as seals. They are applied directly to electronic components (schematic diagrams). Used in many industries: for marking metal equipment (automotive industry), marking car parts, trailers, tractors, forklifts, electronic and mechanical equipment (heat pumps), steel structures (screens, photovoltaic panels, boilers).

"Plates" are printed on special plastic labels, which are characterized by high long-term durability and good adhesion to the substrate. Mechanical factors such as labels printed with additional collateral in the form of transparent security label or laminated , can increase the durability and resistance.
